52 Week Project - Week 17

It was a crazy week (weather wise) in NJ.  We got lots of rain in the middle of the week but the weekend turned out to be beautiful so I was fortunate enough to visit friends and got out to enjoy the day.

First stop was to visit with my Friend Johnny "SOAP45" Vega, a very talented artist from the Paterson, NJ area.  We got to chat a little bit about his One Man show "The Crazy King Art Expo" at the Ivanhoe Art Mosaic located at 4 Spruce St. in Paterson, NJ.  I'm really looking forward to his show as I have seen his work at School 15 (see previous post) and am excited to see his work on canvas at the show.  So if you are in the Paterson area from June 4th through the 30th, 6pm to 10pm, stop in and experience the beautiful art of SOAP45 in person.

By the way I will be posting pictures a week before the event and also the week of the event. Stay tuned!

My next stop was at Lambert Castle again.  I really like this spot as it is a very nice and quiet place to sit, relax, read, listen to music (on your iPod) and just forget about your problems and get away for a minute.

And my last stop was at the Garret Mountain Reservation.  What a beautiful place to go for picnics, walk the trails and exercise or just to relax.  There were lots of families enjoying the day.  I was able to capture some really nice pictures people and of my town, Paterson.

This is Rt. 80 and the exit to Downtown Paterson.

Here you can clearly see Main St. Downtown Paterson.  People were taking advantage of the beautiful day to go shopping.  I wonder if my mom was there?
