52 Week Project - Week 5

CAUGHT IN FLIGHT
The weather final broke in NJ and I was able to get out and search for some good stuff.  It was a nice sunny day with a beautiful blue sky and just a tad bit chilly.

As I drove around town I found some crows just chillin' and eatin'.  Every time I drove by they would take off so you can only imagine how many of these shots I took.  But I really like this one.

Enjoy, stay warm and see you next week!

52 Week Project - Week 4

Hello my friends! It was an interesting week in NJ.  We got 19" of snow which was the most in the state this week. Oh Boy! Also, you are lucky because I'm posting two pictures. hope you like them!

I spotted this little guy outside my kitchen window the day after our storm. I'll call him Chewy. It was a crisp chilly day and Chewy must be looking for food, I wonder what he was thinking when I took this shot. To me it looks like he was twirling his hands and planning to take over the world, or just planning on breaking into my apartment, devilish lil guy.

Yes this is yet another hobby of mine.  I attend various sports autograph shows. This one was the MAB Celebrity show in Secaucus, NJ called Pinstripe Passion.  As you have guessed by the name it was a NY Yankee show.  It was celebrating the 1961, 1981, and 1996 seasons.  I met Luis Sojo from the 96 Yankee championship team.  A really cool dude.

There were a lot of nice vendors there that allowed me to take pictures of their tables.  But there was one guy that had a really cool table but wanted to charge me $3 bucks just to take a pic, uugghh.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed these.  Stay warm and see you next week!

52 Week Project - Week 3

If you browsed my blog you will see a similar post of a pic that I took in the early fall.  This week’s pic was taken again at the beautiful Lambert Castle in Paterson, NJ.  I wanted to go to a peaceful location and capture untouched fresh snow.  Another storm is coming this week. I'm so excited! (just a little sarcasim of course)
As you look at this picture I hope that it makes you feel relaxed and at peace with yourself.
Stay warm and enjoy!

52 Week Project - Week 2

As I wandered around today before dinner with friends I spotted this strange looking window the sun was shining in just the right spot.  I like the random geometric shapes; you can interpret it however you like.

52 Week Project - Week 1

So a friend of mine had a bright idea (was not hers as she told me tons of people do this) to post a picture everyday for the whole year.  I told her she was crazy BUT she is doing it, good for her! :)

So, I decided to do it once a week.  I will be posting my pictures by Sunday night which means I'll have a whole week to take pictures and pick the best one. uugghh!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the pics! And here we go. . .

This picture was taken at a comic book show in the town where I live.  This is actually my first hobby.  I've been reading comics since I was in grammar school and YES I still do.  They've changed so much and the so has the price,  how can a kid get into a hobby like that when the price of a comic book can be as much as $3.99!!

Final Images - Numbers in everyday life . . .

We never think about how much numbers are a big part of our life.  Take a look around and you'll discover that there are set quantities in everything.  Do we have to be a mathematician to figure out why it’s done?  Or is it just the luck of the draw and everything falls in its place (Engineer/Architect brain)? So as you can see my theme is set on multiplicity and quantities.
There were many artists that we discussed in class that have inspired me such as Andreas Gursky, he was out of control with his multiplicity so to speak.  Another is Charlotte Cotton, on her genre “Something & Nothing" and my favorite is William Eggelston who had a great eye for photography. I was also inspired by my classmates, they are all so imaginative and talented. This class more than any has opened up my mind and thoughts in pictures and I thank them and my professor for that.

I hope you enjoy my photographs! Happy Holidays!
